Easy Spanish – How to Learn Spanish The Easy Way

Is learning Spanish really easy? It depends on how you look at it and how you choose to achieve your goal of learning Spanish. If you think you have to spend hours memorizing Spanish grammar and vocabulary rules, learn a long list of Spanish words, and fear the laughter of others as you twist your tongue into unfamiliar positions trying to pronounce Spanish phrases, learning Spanish can be quite difficult. difficult for you. You need to change this way of thinking. Think about how learning Spanish will enrich your life and how you can benefit from it. If you welcome new opportunities. If you are curious and like to learn new things and learn about different Spanish people, food, music and culture, learning Spanish can be easy and even fun.

I am not a native Spanish speaker. In fact, all I knew in Spanish in high school was “tacos” and “tortillas.” However, I was able to teach myself to read, write, and speak Spanish well enough to eventually become an English-Spanish translator and even help others speak Spanish. How did I do it? Below you will find some tips that have helped me and will certainly help make learning Spanish easier.

* Watch Spanish TV shows

A good strategy to help you get used to hearing Spanish is to watch Spanish television programs. Watch Spanish news channels, documentaries and history programs to learn the correct Spanish pronunciation of the most common Spanish words. Watch Spanish series, comedies and movies to learn more about Spanish culture, jokes, slangs and other idiomatic expressions.

How to learn Spanish from TV shows and programs without understanding the language? The point is to just start watching and listening, even if you understand 0% of what you hear.

Many days and weeks may pass when you believe that you are not making any progress, but believe me, the brain “learns” without you realizing it and without much conscious effort on your part. These are some of the “easy” things in learning Spanish, but it takes time.

This is where many people get discouraged after a while. They can’t “perceive” any progress in their ability to understand Spanish, and the brain wants to go back to the “familiar.” Listening to a foreign language for a long time without understanding anything requires some discipline at the beginning, because it feels like being lost somewhere on the highways of a strange big city during rush hour. People just want to go back to what they know and love and feel “safe” for them: their native language. Hang in there, if you persevere, you will reach your goal of becoming a Spanish speaker. Don’t give up!

* Listen to Spanish music

Another helpful tip for learning more about Spanish is to listen to Spanish music. Using music to learn Spanish phrases and eventually become fluent in Spanish is very effective because the lyrics of songs are usually repeated over and over again. This repetition in itself is a powerful way to reinforce learning Spanish vocabulary, or anything else for that matter, and repeating Spanish sentences to the tune of music is even more powerful. Think of all the commercial jingles you can still remember and all the musical nursery rhymes you learned as a child… How could you forget them?

If by chance some Spanish words or phrases were unclear to you the last time you heard the song, simply play the CD or MP3 over and over again.

* Read Spanish publications

You may ask, “How can I read Spanish words or any literature in Spanish if I don’t know Spanish yet?” The answer is: It’s easier than you think. Spanish differs from English in that the letters in Spanish words are always pronounced the same way every time you see them, so all you have to do is learn a few simple rules for pronouncing the letters and you’ll be able to “read”. Almost everything in Spanish, although you may not yet understand the full meaning of all words and sentences.

This will help you a lot because you will be able to practice and improve your Spanish accent as you read aloud while learning to recognize Spanish words in print. You will also be able to recognize and pronounce the words and sentences you hear and learn while watching those Spanish TV programs and listening to the Spanish music I mentioned in the previous article.

You will notice that some words are used more than others, and some words are hardly used at all. It will be like a giant puzzle and slowly the pieces will start to fit together.

* Carry English / Spanish Dictionary

Having an English / Spanish Dictionary with you helps you quickly look up unfamiliar words. The words you search for can be used immediately or saved for later study. Buy a small one to carry with you and a large one for your office or workplace.

Be curious and look up many of the unfamiliar and interesting words you hear and see in the dictionary.

Another thing I did while learning Spanish was carry a travel notebook that I would use to write down words in Spanish that I wasn’t familiar with. I also wrote down the phrases and English words that I wanted to find their equivalent in Spanish. This will help you even more as you get better at learning and speaking Spanish.

* Use Study Guides

Are all those “Learning Spanish books”, Spanish videos and Spanish audio CDs, DVDs and MP3s really working to make learning Spanish easier? I always tell people that they are like all the different exercise machines and gadgets that are on the market today. Some are better than others, but most will work for you if you can be motivated enough to keep using them.

These were just a few tips on how you can make your goal of learning Spanish easier. Start today and take your first step towards learning Spanish the easy way.
